Vol. 1 No. 13 - December 29, 2009 Congratulations to all who survived 2009! May 2010 be the best year of your life! It really can be, and we’re expecting it to be. That does not mean that there will not be difficulties, but we know the One who is over all of them, and is the Answer to every human problem. He upholds the universe with His power, and will be glad to help us. The Holy Spirit moved upon the chaos in the beginning, and look what a great place He made out ... More... |

Vol. 1 No. 12 - December 23, 2009 This is a time of year when even many heathen like to think of it as a season of peace and joy. For Christians it should be even more so. The Father loved us so much that He sent His Son for our salvation! The Son loved us so much that He came, lived among us so that He could completely identify with us, and then suffered one of the most cruel and unjust executions ever, because He loved us. Who cannot be filled with joy for having... More... |

Vol. 1 No. 11 - December 17, 2009 This is a special time of year for celebrating the greatest of all miracles—God becoming a man and living among us. I pray that this will be a special season for you and your loved ones, a time of increased vision and purpose, as well as a strengthening of your union with the Lord and His body, the church. I do understand why many Christians do not like the overdone commercialization of Christmas to the point of not even wanting to celebrate it at all. More... |

Vol. 1 No. 10 - December 08, 2009 We have been developing an OAK Initiative Chapter in our local church, and we have learned some things that I would like to pass on to you. There are other groups who are already off and running with organizing OAK Chapters too, which we are really thrilled to hear about. As these develop, we will be sharing with all of you what is being learned that can be helpful to others as well. More... |

Vol. 1 No. 9 - December 02, 2009 Now that Thanksgiving is over, that does not mean that we should stop thanking the Lord! Eternity will not be long enough to thank Him for all that He has done for us. What an awesome, wonderful God we serve! Because we are told in Ps.100 that we enter His gates with thanksgiving, being a thankful person is how we can enter His presence every day. More... |

Vol. 1 No. 7 - November 17, 2009 This week I am going to address some current events that are especially illuminating of the times. In future weeks we will get more specific in laying out the practical Oak Strategy, but we have been assured by the maturity of those joining Oak that there are some issues we must begin to address that relate to some things that will likely be the biggest points on our radar screens very soon. Vol. 1 No. 5 - November 03, 2009 The President Without a Country - By Pat Boone The Oak Initiative was born because Christian leaders from virtually across the spectrum of the body of Christ came together to confer about and address some of the great crises of our times. The quality, depth, and strength of those who came was most encouraging. They came to seek understanding, and then to take action. Powerful ministry and mission initiatives were born in different parts of the nation, and they are growing. More... |

Vol. 1 No. 4 - October 27, 2009 Last week we laid out the basic strategy for mobilization in The Oak Initiative. This week we want to look at the most powerful and effective strategy in human history, and how it must be an even more basic strategy in all that we do. What was that strategy?
1) Find 12 good men. |

Vol. 1 No. 3 - October 20, 2009 A main purpose of The Oak Initiative is to aid the church to be the salt and light it is called to be. Being the salt speaks of being a moral preserver. Being the light speaks of being a presenter of the truth. As the oak tree is a symbol of strength, with roots as deep and expansive below the ground as its branches are above, we will pursue depth of character and understanding as we pursue expansion and influence. Vol. 1 No. 2 - October 14, 2009 Last week we addressed how our basic job description as human beings is to love God, which if we do will cause us to love one another as we should also. Before proceeding with this week’s practical application of who we are going to seek to do this in OAK, I want to discuss a few more basic characteristics of God’s love.. More... |

Vol. 1 No. 1 - October 7, 2009 The main question that is being asked by our members is how to get started. That is most encouraging because that means you are already doers and action oriented. To begin with, we do not want to just convey to our members what to do, but as much as we can, we want to explain why we are doing things. We also want to invite your feedback. For you to have joined something so new, and as yet largely undefined, More... |
