2010 RICK JOYNER'S LETTERS TO OAK INITIATIVE MEMBERS

Vol.2 No. 13 - May 12, 2010

We are working on the format for what we think will be a helpful brief sheet on current events that will be coming soon. This will include brief commentary on what the important events are, what they mean, and what their impact can be. This will also include some of the “behind the scenes” information that may not be readily available on the news. We are going to call these brief sheets “Oak Leaves”   More...

Just a few days ago Detroit was called not only the most dangerous city in America, but the most dangerous city in the world. Since I was there, I wanted to understand how this could happen to such a great American city. This is especially important because many of the same policies and the style of leadership that has led Detroit for decades is now being imposed on the whole nation. More...

We have an increasing number of Oak gatherings, chapters, and even larger Oak organizations springing up. We’re also getting great feedback from them about what seems to be working for them and what isn’t. One thing that is very obvious is how having an Oak gathering or chapter in a local church can bring a serious infusion of energy and help activate your members with something they know can enable their church to have an impact in their community. It seems that the fruit from this is going to be as good as we had hoped. More...

If you enjoy the intensity of living in perpetual crisis, we are certainly living in a “target rich environment” now. Hardly a week goes by in which something does not arise that threatens our way of life, or our life itself. When it did not seem that it could get much worse after the passage of the Healthcare Reform Bill that threatens many of our basic freedoms as Americans, a major crisis arises in our foreign policy that has the potential to threaten world peace. That is the crisis in relations between America and one of our most loyal, and strategically important allies—Israel. More...

Vol.2 No. 9 - March 23, 2010
We have got our work cut out for us more than ever before with the passage of this healthcare legislation. We will be dissecting it for weeks to come for every implication and impact it will have on us and America. No legislation in history has divided the nation as much as the recent Healthcare Reform Bill. Why? No bill in American history will so fundamentally impact our future. More...

Vol.2 No. 8 - March 15, 2010
The Oak Initiative was born out of a gathering of about 300 leaders from across the spectrum of the body of Christ. They came together to discuss and form a plan for addressing the great crises of our times. Addressing these crises includes having the vision and strategy to help prepare the body of Christ to not only survive, but to prevail through these crises, while being the light in the darkness that we are called to be. More...

I waited to write this letter after the President's Healthcare Summit was over. Both sides did well at expressing their positions on the issue, and both sides made some good points. However, neither side addressed one of the main reasons why the nation has risen in protest of this billgovernment incompetence to manage anything at this time, much less something as complicated as healthcare. There are other important issues, but this is a big one that it does not seem either side is seeing. More...

Vol.2 No. 6 - February 20, 2010
Last week we hosted our first gathering just for Oak Initiative members. It was an extraordinary time and I think exceeded all of our expectations. If you were not able to be there, it was all recorded and the DVD's and CD's will soon be available on our website. There are a number of these teachings that would be excellent to show to your gathering or Chapter, and should stimulate not only interchange but action. More...

Vol.2 No. 4 - January 29, 2010
I waited to write this week's letter after the President's State of the Union Address. More than the “State of the Union” this speech was really about the “State of the President's Agenda.” Even so, even if it is only from his perspective, understanding his perspective is valuable information. This was no doubt one of the most anticipated Presidential speeches in a long time, and it did not disappoint for both drama and illumination. More...

Vol.2 No. 3 - January 23, 2010
There were two earthquakes this week. One was political and the other was physical. One is likely to have cost hundreds of thousands of lives, which is what it now seems the count may be in Haiti. The other one, the political earthquake, probably saved that many lives, and maybe even many more.  More...

Vol.2 No. 2 - January 17, 2010
One of the great questions in Christianity is concerning the sovereignty of God versus the free will of man. I believe in both. I think in His sovereignty, God gave a lot of freedom to men, even to the degree that we are told in Ps.115:16: “The heavens are the heavens of the Lord, but the earth He has given to the sons of men.” This is why He will not do many things on earth unless we pray.     Happy New Year! No doubt it's going to be an exciting one, and it could be the most important year of our lives. It will be the best year of our lives yet if we get closer to God and love Him more. That is our main job description as human beings, and the main thing that will determine if we had a successful life or not, so let's resolve to excel this year at loving God! More...
