Oak Initiative Convention

UPDATED: The Oak Convention, August 26-28, 2010

On August 26-28 we are hosting our first Oak Convention. We will celebrate our first year of great success and accomplishment. Many people are gathering across the country and around the world with a vision and intent to make a difference right in the neighborhoods and communities where they live. We will be meeting at Heritage International Ministries in Fort Mill, SC. United States(near Charlotte, NC).

Open to Oak Members and Their Invited Guests!

These meetings will begin Thursday evening at 7PM on the 26th and end after the morning session on the 28th. They will be high impact and filled with strategy for these times. There will be important speakers and great workshops (See Below: Leadership will be released). There will also be time for a lot of interchange and fellowship. We hope to see you there.

At this time it is important to establish a leadership forum that focuses on the  current major areas of dominant influence and crisis, including:

1. Spiritual and moral  5. Social Issues
2. Government and politics 6. Environmental
3. Media 7. Education
4. Economic    
       

     To do this we want to establish a leader and a council to address each of these spheres. Organizing this will be one of the major goals of the August Oak Convention. We will be establishing each of these with a Chairman, Asst. Chairman, and a staff devoted to both Research and Communications. The purpose of these councils will be to provide an accurate assessment of the great issues of the times, and to propose answers and solutions to them. OAK Members can be on up to 3 of these councils.

On the Sunday after the convention Morningstar’s Fort Mill congregation (within the same facilities) will have their regular services beginning at 9:00am and 11:00am. We encourage event guests to attend the 9:00am service, as the 11:00am service is usually full.

They also have an equipping and training session on Wednesday nights starting at 7:30pm

Café   The Café will be selling breakfast, lunch, and dinner on site for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Advance meal packages are available for $75, which includes breakfast(x2), lunch(x2), & dinner(x2) (6 meals).
Individual meal prices are available on site.
